The International Mission Board encourages Southern Baptists to give through the Cooperative Program and the Lottie Moon Christmas Offering for international missions through their local churches. We do, however, offer online giving options to individuals to support strategic priority needs. We also present information about making planned gifts.

Jesus Film Kit for Yao, Mozambique
 The yao are a largely unreached Muslim peopge group in Northern Mozambique. This request is for the purchase of a Jesus film kit that will be used to show specific films to large groups of the Yao people. There are two groups working diligently to provide Yao language movies. Three have been completed since 2006. YWAM has begun distribution of “The God Story” which is a chronological presentation of the Bible. A German group has developed a movie called, “The Hope” and it has also been well received by the Yao people. This same group has also recently produced three movies regarding Muslims coming to faith in Christ through dreams. This request will enable greater numbers of Yao people to be confronted with the truth of Jesus. 87800.240.018.2008

Easy to read Bibles for Chinese Tourists
 “I’ve never seen people so excited and anxious to get a Bible!” That is the response of most volunteers helping distribute Bibles and evangelistic materials to visitors from mainland China. Most of the visitors have limited access to Bibles. Many have heard about the Bible but have never seen one. Many have been told it’s an important book to read, but they can’t find one. When these tourists visit Macau, we have freedom and opportunity to share God’s love with them through these Bibles and gospel packets. Southern Cross Project communicates God’s love through distribution of Bibles to the millions of mainland Chinese residents who travel outside China. 11.9 million Mainland tourists visited Macau in 2006! Through your support to Southern Cross, 25,000 mainlanders visiting Macau have received the word of God in 2006. We need more Bibles to be able to continue sharing the good news with these tourists in 2008. On busy days, we can distribute up to 600 Bibles in one hour. Through Southern Cross, a Bible and these evangelistic tracts can be printed and shipped to Macau for 3.40 US. This request will provide 60,000 Bibles, evangelistic tracts, and Jesus films for mainlander Chinese who may not be able to get them otherwise.

Leadership development and church growth
 In a country where communication of the Gospel is highly restricted, some of the most pressing needs are leadership development and basic discipleship. Your giving will provide church-growth materials and train national church planters living in a country closed to IMB workers. 72401-240-068-2006

Church-planting movement training workshops
 South Asia is home to more unreached people groups than all the rest of the world combined! Yet through church-planting movements, we are seeing entire people groups ushered into God’s kingdom with multiplying new communities of faith. Church-planting movement training is needed all over South Asia if we are to multiply harvesters in this region of the world. Southern Cross Project
 An East Asian team is seeing evangelistic advances beyond what was expected and knows these advances are of God. The team is trusting Him for enough materials to give an evangelistic packet to 150,000 Chinese trourists traveling to Hong Kong. Given the chance to see, read and hear about God in the materials taken back to China by each of these tourists, nearly 1.3 million of their family members and friends could have the opportunity to find Jesus as Savior and Lord. 74303-240-040-2003

South Asia Unengaged/Unreached People Groups
 A 345 initiative is under way to engage the 345 people groups in this region who represent 73 percent of the world's remaining unengaged and unreached. Funding is needed to conduct research to locate these groups & implement a workable strategy to reach them with Christ's Gospel. North Africa One Story Projects
 These funds will be used to carry out fifteen OneStory projects among unreached, largely non-literate people groups of Northern Africa and the Middle East. None of the targeted people groups has the Bible in the language and format they can understand. OneStory exists to develop, initiate and facilitate oral strategies to communicate God's Word to oral peoples who are unreached resulting in sustainable, indigenously led, reproducing church planting movements which transform lives and societies to reflect a biblical worldview. Embera' Tado' "JESUS" film production
 The work among the Embera' Tado' is relatively new and there are very few believers among them. Putting the "JESUS" film in their language, thus, provides a great opportunity to do real kingdom building. Your giving will enable linguists, Embera' Tado' believers and national partners to produce the "JESUS" film as well as the "Story of Jesus" radio program and culturally appropriate follow-up materials for seekers of the Word among this people group. 97111-243-002-2005

Project Northern Lights
 Project Northern Lights functions to saturate the Muslim countries of North Africa with Scripture and Jesus films. Volunteers work alongside national Christians to disctibute these materials and witness to the North Africans as they travel by car ferry from Europe to North Africa. Your giving will be used to print and distribute the New Testament in the Kabyle Berber language at a cost of approximately $3 each as well as Scripture cassettes at a cost of approximately 50 cents each. 82410-469-238-2003

Evangelism among refugees in Wales
 In light of recent world events, refugees and asylum seekers are flooding into Western nations. Like never before, this movement presents an opportunity to reach people from the 10/40 Window. Your giving can provide training for English-as-a-Second-Language teachers in Cardiff, Wales. Platform Development
 Facilitators are entering fanatical areas in need legitimate platforms for being present in northern coastal areas. Building such platforms and developing on-going strategies requires funding, as facilitators seek to help team members start platforms that enable them to meet people and become self-supporting. Turkmen New Testaments
 Many Turkmen under age 25 are unable to read the Turkmen-language Bibles currently in print because they learned their language using the new Latin script. The Turkmen Partnership has agreed to print 10,000 copies of the new Latin-script Bibles for $4 each. Field personnel would like to purchase 3,000 copies to put into the hands of the Turkmen. 72401-260-071-2006

Coffee House Encounters
 Many of our personnel are often making relationships in coffee houses that further the Gospel and use these places as a base of ministry. God has opened the doors for them to be incarnational in these coffee houses, but not have us tied up in the renting or running of these coffee houses. However, the personal expense for buying the coffee in Western Europe has had to come out of their pockets and has sometimes created a difficult choice of ministry expenses impending on personal finance. In order to assist in encouraging these relational opportunities, funds are needed to pay for the coffee of seekers, new believers and the workers who are ministering to them. 62201-240-002-2007

 "Church Planting Movements" by David Garrison chronicles one of the most exciting evangelistic trends in recent history. When beleivers within a people group or population segment plant churches that rapidly reproduce themselves, that's a church-planting movement. Pisidian project
 Your giving can help fund a large distribution project in which it is planned that 70,000 copies of the JESUS film, a video on starting a local church and a Scripture portion containing Luke, Acts, and Romans, will be shared. Volunteers will come to a large Central Asian country to distibute these materials throughout the summer. Funds will go toward purchasing the materials for distribution at a cost of $3.50 per packet. 72401-469-264-2003

Southern Cross project in Thailand
 An East Asian team is trusting God for enough resources to give an evangelistic packet to 250,000 Chinese tourists. As seven to 10 persons could see, read and hear about God in the materials taken back to China by each of these tourists, up to 1.5 million of their family members and friends may have the opportunity to find Jesus as Savior and Lord. Full Circle
 Full Circle is focused on engaging as many unreached people groups as possible whose populations exceed 100,000 and megacities with populations in excess of 1 million. The ultimate goal is to evangelize these vast numbers of lost people and train believers in ways that will lead to indigenous church-planting movements in this region and beyond. Afar Outreach Project
 The Afar Outreach Project (AOP) involves three separate organizations which plan to produce and broadcast radio programs and then follow up with the Afar peoples of the Horn of Africa. Guambiano "JESUS" film
 Although there are Guambiano believers and churches in Colombia, there are no church-planting movements among this people group, largely due to lack of worhsip opportunities in their heart language. God's Word for Chinese Tourists
 The best way for God to make His ways known and for His salvation among all nations to be heard is to see that His Word is given to those who do not have it. Our project (Southern Cross) is actively pursuing ways of sharing His Word with Chinese tourists as they travel outside China. This is a tremendous opportunity that God has opened up for us and it needs to be taken advantage of, but, we need Scriptures and Scripture portions to complete the task.  In order to find where the Holy Spirit is already working the hearts of Muslims all over our country we will train the participants in the seminar on how to use the Camel method and then provide for them practical opportunities to implement the training. Madrid University equipping retreat
 Twice each year, Study Abroad students partnering with the Madrid University "SyncroNations" team are equipped to help reach Spanish university students for Christ. MegaVoice Ambassadors
 Ambassadors are solar-powered MegaVoice digital playback devices. They present a quick audiovisual overview of the Bible from Creation to Christ's resurrection as well as basic teaching on the Christina life. Their clear and birghtly colored pictures are designed to attract people who are non-literate and unaccustomed to visual teaching presentations. These Ambassadors will be distributed throughout the Northern Africa and Middle East (NAME) region. Substantial gifts have already been recieved for the $267,500 project. Moscow Leadership Development Center
 After November 2007, the 10-person training center for university students, their professors and business people will be unavailable due to rising costs. Nairobi Business as Mission
 Your giving can help the Nairobi Business as Mission team implement a holistic ministry to reach the residents of high density population areas in Nairobi, Kenya (slums and low-income apartments). Kenyan nationals who display a commitment to radical obedience to the Great Commission will be intensely trained in a proven evangelism technique for oral learners (Chronological Bible Storying) and held accountable for conducting weekly house or cell group meetings. These "disciples" will also acquire training in the production of small leather products and receive the opportunity to earn a modest living (approximately 250 per month) to support their families.  Reproduction of cassettes of "Irikoy Sanno Deeda" to offer to each of the taxi drivers in Niamey - With an estimated 2500 taxis in Niamey this would require at least 2500 cassettes at 1.00 per cassette = 2,500.00. Plus phone cards for followup with the interested taxi drivers. Phone cards for one call to each driver for seven months = 145.00
